Term 1

This term, Kearsney Class will be travelling thousands of years back in time as we explore life in prehistoric Britain! We will begin with the Stone Age, discovering how hunter-gatherers survived, how people made and used tools, what archaeological evidence can tell us about the past and how the development of farming changed the way people lived. We will even become prehistoric artists, exploring cave paintings and natural materials to create artwork of our own. In English, we will begin with Stone Age Boy, using it to inspire our own diary writing, before moving on to instructions later in the term. In Science, we will investigate the fascinating world of rocks, while in Maths we will develop our understanding of place value and number. Alongside all of this, we will continue developing our skills in Computing, Music, French, PE and RE. It's going to be a busy first term full of discovery, creativity and adventure!
